Writing your favorite lyrics in your notebooks. Spending hours making personalized mix CDs for your best friends. The first time you ever heard "Brain Stew". Listening to First Ever Boys brings back all of these feelings.

First Ever Boys, the self-titled debut album from LA-based trio First Ever Boys, is the stuff all good pop and all good punk is made of: loud guitars, breakneck drums, hooks as heavy as a tour-ready Ford Econoline. From the opening guitar blasts of “Guts” to the sugar-rush closer “Stuck”, singer and guitarist Lo Bru, bassist G Pro, and drummer J Villa take no prisoners as they refashion mental illness (“3 Ways to Stop Talking About Yourself”), navigating dating apps (“What Are You Looking For On Here”), and suffering under capitalism (“Opposite Day”, “Stuck”) into the most exciting, melody-laden, jump-in-the-pit and scream-your-lungs-out album this year.

Produced and recorded by fellow pop punk boy Wolfy (Rosie Tucker, Noso, Jess Kallen) and mixed by Keith Armstrong (Paramore, My Chemical Romance, Rise Against) First Ever Boys is an alley-oop slam dunk of a debut full-length. After their 2020 EP, I Feel Like You’re Mad at Me, it seems First Ever Boys is a band set to hit a new high point with every release.

First Ever Boys will be released on Sentimental Records on August 25th, 2023 ahead of their release show at The Silverlake Lounge on August 29th with support from Paradise Vultures and Boney Knees.

We can't all be the best band ever but we CAN be best friends with the best band ever.

From the band:

This album is the culmination of years of best-friendship between the three of us. We hope it makes queer people feel seen, and mentally ill people feel comforted. Ollie wrote the songs he could have used when he first came out to himself. We can't wait to send this album out into the world!

Lo Bru (he/him, vocals and guitar)
G Pro (she/her, bass and backing vocals)
J Villa (he/him, drums and backing vocals)
